Lake Amistad Fishing Report
2/26/2010 – Amistad is hot in the Spring. The mouth of Rough Canyon is very productive right now. Spinners, Rat-l Traps or lizards are usually what they want. Get along the drop offs and try a lizard carolina-rigged. That is usually the best. San Pedro Creek, in the north fork, ranges from 2′ to 20′ and is also an excellent Spring bass fishing hole. Look for grass. When you find the grass in this area, work it hard.
Evan’s Creek, Spot B varies from 5 to 30 feet and is also a big producer of quality bass in the Spring.
