Toledo Bend Fishing Report
What’s locally known as the Polyfarm area is a great place to start at Toledo Bend in Springtime. You can’t go wrong with a Carolina lizard here, look for the grass. The San Miguel flats are very, very good with a Rat-l Trap or a fluke. If the water is merky, the Rat-l Trap will produce more because of the noise. Look for the edge of grass beds and work them hard, usually about 5-8 feet of water. Ten Acre Flats are the same, look for the grass and if the water is stained or merky, use something that makes noise.
Gilly’s Point is also a very productive spot on Toledo Bend in the Spring. Work a worm either Texas rigged or wacky style. A Senko fished wacky style here is very, very good. Stay with the shades of green with black spots in the Spring.
